As parents, we are constantly looking for ways to empower our children with true wisdom, the kind of wisdom they can carry with them for a lifetime. The kind of wisdom that will help them make good choices, be confident, and live a happy life.
But what do you need to make that happen?
The perfect solution is building a Wise for my Size Library! Every month you will receive a beautifully illustrated coaching book, grown-up guide, and children's activity pages that will help to build your family's confidence and resilience, month by month.
The Wise for my Size Library is a selection of illustrated children’s mindset books, for ages 5 - 14 years. The stories and characters are set in real-life situations, so your child can easily relate to them.
We know that when children understand and are shown HOW their clever mind works, and learn that they can change their internal world, transformation is inevitable.
How does the monthly membership work?
1. Share a transformational storybook with your child. (There is a new storybook to enjoy every month.)

H,i we are Lorna and Jac. Let us tell you about the Wise for My Size monthly book membership.
In our experience, the main concern facing parents is not knowing what to do or say when your child comes to you with a problem, and let's face it, they usually tell you as your tuck them up in bed. Then that's you up all night trying to Google the answer. It's not a nice feeling when you don't know what to say to help your child.
This is the reason we created the Wise for My Size Library. We want you to have the tools and techniques to be able to support your child when they experience a challenge or a difficulty. These stories plant new ideas and ways of thinking that let your child take what they need from the story.
As the months pass your library of Mindset storybooks will build, and so will your knowledge, so when that tricky problem pops up you can easily reach for the right book the need arises.
That moment when something falls into place is so powerful - you dont forget it and this is what you want for your child. Dont force anything or be tempted to tell them the answer, let them mull it over, figure it out, trust them and before you know if they will have their own Eureka moment - that will last a lifetime.
Did you know that our brains are wired to respond to a story differently from hearing an instruction or a fact? Listening to a story switches on several parts of the brain all at the same time; thinking, communication, problem-solving and critical thinking. So, without nagging, lecturing, or preaching you can start to plant ideas, explore tricky topics, and change perceptions, simply by reading a Wise for My Size storybook.
In Step Two, We Reflect on how the story makes us think, feel and remember. This is a powerful way to deepen the teachings the story can offer.
As we are coaching children our approach has to include elements of teaching to introduce new concepts, like the comfort zone or self-talk.
In Step Three, We Explore new ideas and concepts and develop empathy by considering different perspectives of the story from each character.'s point of view.
In Step four, We Experiment by taking all this new learning and trying out the new ideas, strategies, tools, and beliefs, to see what works best.
If you want to develop new patterns of behaviour or new ways of thinking, it is important to plan and prepare when you will use them. Step Five We Prepare is all about getting ready for the next tricky time or the next opportunity.
Practice Makes Progress! We are over perfection - it's all about progress! It is those little changes that make the biggest ripples in life.
Step 6 We Practice teaches us that we need to keep practicing our new tools, learning, and strategies until they become familiar and easy. Then you are Wise for your Size.
Each story follows a character your child will instantly relate to, finding themselves with a problem, dilemma, or something that is not going so well. As the story progresses your child will enjoy seeing the character learn to overcome their problem and find the solution.
The Wise for My Size Library is packed with stories about everyday occurrences - not feeling able to tidy your bedroom or worrying about starting a new club. Or, they might use a metaphor to explain something, a bit like Aesop’s fable or a fairy-tale. Every story has a child at the heart of it and that child solving their problems, with a wise guide to help them.
Through fun activities, games, and challenges your child will enjoy exploring new ideas and concepts, and then experimenting with which ones work best for them.
Each month you will be supported to feel confident to support your child through the Grown-Up's Guide. This will give you the bite-size information that you need to be confident to explore and experiment with new ideas and try new ways of doing things with your child. The 'Wisery' gives your family a shared language to speak about mindset, emotions, or beliefs, in a way that is easy to understand. The Grown-Up's Guide will give you ideas to help you know how to handle tricky topics and start conversations.
All grown-ups will be invited to join our Private Facebook group, Building Resilient Children, where we will provide additional support in the form of a community of like-minded parents who want to give their child skills for a lifetime. We will regularly post themed videos, additional activities for that month, and lots more. Lorna and Jac are both in the group and are there to answer questions and support you further.
Each month when your new book arrives you will share the story and enjoy exploring the new learning and tools. We like to think of this as adding to the tool kit of life building up their confidence and resilience
You will also dip into your Wise for My Size Library when a tricky topic, problem, or challenge arises. If your child is reluctant to try new things you could read Ntombi's path and learn to be brave when trying new things.
Your child will feel the love, time, and energy you are committing to spend with them in this heart-felt way. We always encourage you to share your experiences, worries, and successes with your child, you don't have to know all the answers and perhaps your child will be the teacher and you the student sometimes. We promise you will be amazed at the insights, and pearls of wisdom that your child will share with you.
